About Me

Hi! My name is Nezar. I am a Software Engineer at Meta with a background in Chemical Engineering. I have a diverse experience in the software development field, working on:

• a real-time credit card approval / decision engine for Capital One
• a highly accessible and intuitive video editor web application (in-browser) for StoryBlocks
• a highly-automated mortgage loan origination engine at Better Mortgage

My interest in technology and software extends beyond work, and my interests include the command-line / terminal, Linux system administration, and self-hosting.

Outside of Software, I love camping and hiking and enjoy spending time in nature! Sometimes this features photography. I am also interested in reading; most non-fiction topics interest me, including History, Sociology, Physics, etc.
